WordPress is a popular CMS which has found a strong following with bloggers. Though the system is excellent at blogging, it also can be used to build as a standard content management system. (That said, users who wish to employ WordPress for something other than a blog, should probably also consider Mambo, Drupal or even Joomla.)
WordPress supports a wide variety of options for blog sites and can work across platforms without difficulty. Many plugins exist which extend the application's functionality significantly.
