One of the most common questions we receive concerns the support options that exist for open source software. With the exception of Magento, none of the open source products we deploy offer an official support service. This means that you as the site owner, will be responsible for keeping up with any security releases or patches and then deploying them on your server. If you have some sophistication in technology, this is not a daunting task. If, on the other hand, you lack those skills or you simply do not wish to undertake it in house, we can assist you.
Our support options provide all or part of the following services:
- Install critical security patches
- Install minor system (or extension) upgrades
- Install major system (or extension) upgrades
- Diagnose and solve problems
When we undertake patch and upgrade management, we will take responsibility for backing up your site, then testing on the new version and making sure your customizations and enhancements are working properly. If problems arise during the upgrade, we will sort them out and get your site back online in a short period of time.
If you are looking for turnkey service for your site, the Support option is probably right for you. Please note, however, that we do not offer support outside normal business hours, nor do we provide support for your server hardware or software (the latter is most likely covered by your hosting plan).
