water&stone started out as a web design house and today that remains our primary focus. We specialize in creating custom websites using open source content management systems. Our preferred platforms are Drupal, Joomla, WordPress and Magento, but we also work on Mambo and osCommerce.
We can provide complete builds - from start to finish - or we can simply take one aspect of the job. We build quite a few Joomla! Templates and do a fair amount of Drupal Theming as well, so if you are only looking for a professional design that you or your internal team can implement, we can help you with that as well.
While the open source CMS platforms we work on include a number of features and are supplemented by a number of third party extensions, it is very likely that you will need some customization to achieve your specific goals. We do a lot of customization work and since we have been in this field for years, we are able to advise on selection of extensions and help you make good cost/benefit decisions about which products to select and how best to implement them. It's safe to say, that while there are few things you cannot accomplish with today's open source CMS, there are some things that are less attractive due to the amount of customization involved.
