New Ubuntu book hits the shelves

Ric's most recent book, the Ubuntu Desktop Visual Blueprint, was officially released today. The title, published by Wiley & Sons, provides readers with a quick and visual reference book for using the Ubuntu Linux Desktop.

"I was really impressed with the Ubuntu desktop," stated Ric. "The book gave me a chance to spend a fair bit of time with the system and that was a bit of an eye-opener for me. Ubuntu's Hardy Heron release is the first Linux desktop system I would be willing to recommend and indeed, we use it in the office here at water&stone."

This is the second Visual Blueprint title Ric has done for Wiley (the first was the Mambo Visual Blueprint, released in July of 2006).

Currently Ric is working on the Joomla! Bible for Wiley, a comprehensive guide to using the Joomla! open source CMS. The Joomla! Bible will be released in January 2010.
